play based creativity workshops
Exploring creativity through play based activities allows children to explore, think, invent, take risks, problem solve, make choices, and be imaginative. These workshops are designed not only to allow children to freely explore all those areas but also to expose children to as many possible tools for creativity, as well as focussing on early childhood skills such as communication skills, fine motor skills and social skills.
Each 2.5 hour workshop will consist of a brief introduction to play based creativity and 2 - 1 hour creativity stations, each focussing on different materials, tools and skills. Some activities will have a "take-home" component, some will not. Children are given materials and tools needed to create hundreds of possible creative outcomes. The focus for these workshops is PROCESS NOT PRODUCT. There will be a snack break time during the workshops, participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a snack.(*we are a peanut-free facility)
* Register for as many dates as you like, each workshop is separate and must be registered for separately. Different take home projects will be made each day. These are drop-off/pick-up workshops. Parents are not expected to stay.
*price includes all materials, prices do not include GST
